Immigration Files
Seba Kurtis has made it his mission to raise a monument for the glory of anonymous, illegal men. His works repeatedly call our attention to a peripheric mass of people who lose their rights and basic human dignity due to harsh social and geo-political conditions. He explores the state of despair with extraordinary empathy.
Immigration Files is a bundle of photographic series, which Seba has been working on for several years. These series are manifestations of personal experience on illegal migration and human trafficing. The project maps a global phenomenon, while examining isolated narratives of Mexicans in the USA, Egyptians coming to Italy and Africans going to the Canary Islands.
